How quickly can care be arranged?
Within 48 hours, a caregiver can be scheduled. We have facilitated matches on the same day in certain urgent situations.
Does a live-in carer require food from me?
There is no need for separate dining facilities because the carer will cook and most likely eat with you or your loved one.
Which activities are considered part of personal care?
They include bathing or showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating.
How much will it cost to have an assistant carer at my home?
Help at home costs from £15 to £30 an hour, but it varies according to where you live, task in hand and sometimes, the council will contribute to the cost.
What are carers not allowed to do?
A carer cannot perform any regulated activity as deemed by the CQC, such as dressing wounds, performing injections or administering medication without consent. In addition, serious house maintenance such as deep cleaning, window cleaning, or heavy lifting.

Will I continue to be in charge of my own home?
Naturally, you establish the rules and your house stays yours. Our goal is to assist you with the tasks that are difficult for you. If you would like, we could assist with the cooking, shopping, and light cleaning. Your care plan is created in partnership with you and is customized just for you.
Which activities can make me stay healthy?
Healthy movement may include walking, sports, dancing, yoga, running or other activities you enjoy. Eat a well-balanced, low-fat diet with lots of fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
Do you need a prescription for a wheelchair?
If a wheelchair is medically necessary, they will write you a prescription stating you need the mobility aid at home and what type of wheelchair you need.
What do I do if I am not happy with the service?
Calling the registered manager or deputy to discuss your concerns is the first thing you do. Your health and well-being are our top priorities, and we will do everything in our power to resolve the matter while collaborating with you to make sure you feel secure in the care we provide. Every client is also legally provided with a guide on what to do in the event that their concerns are not addressed to their satisfaction.
